We invite all parents to consider taking on a role as one of our officers for the coming 2013-2014 school year. This is an opportunity to become an influential member of our organization of parents, teachers and community members as we strive to enhance our children’s educational experience while promoting community among our teachers and administrators and accessibility for our parents/community members all the while making it fun - on and off campus.
Now, in order for your PTA to be as effective and truly representative of the school, it is essential to have as much parental involvement from a diverse section of parents as possible. Many working parents feel that they cannot be involved in the business and activities of the PTA because they cannot come to every meeting or be on campus during the day; however, the possibilities in ways you can help are nearly limitless.
The following positions will become vacant, are open to nominations and will be voted upon at our forthcoming meeting, this Thursday, March 21:
• Vice President, Ways & Means (Fundraising)
• Financial Secretary
Remember, whatever your schedule, the Eagle Rock Elementary PTA welcomes you as an officer or committee chair!
