Colorado Bl work starts Mon 9/23 | Tue 9/24 Lane & X-Walk striping begins @EagleRockNC @josehuizar
In case you haven't noticed the orange cones on Colorado Blvd, last week the Bureau of Street Services began construction of new crosswalks at El Rio Ave and Glen Iris Ave, which require cutting through the concrete medians.
According to the Council office, the work will be done by Monday, September 23rd, at which time contractors will begin scraping off the current lane striping on Colorado Boulevard. If you live near Colorado, this will be loud work -- and it will happen at night. So be prepared!
On Tuesday, September 24th, the Department of Transportation (DOT) will begin working behind the contractor to stripe in the bike lanes and add crosswalk markings. Most work will be completed at night, and the installations are scheduled to be done by Friday, October 4th, in time for the Eagle Rock Music Festival on Saturday.
