Help #EagleRockElem collect the most to earn 50% of $ collected (4/20-4/24) #JimmyGomezCA #EarthDay
Did you know that over 200,000 tons of electronics ended up in landfills in California last year?
Help celebrate Earth Day on April 22, by participating in the 3rd Annual E-Waste Collection event this week sponsored by State Assemblymember Jimmy Gomez and LAUSD Board Member Bennett Kayser.
So, get rid of the clutter in your home and garage and recycle your old electronics (E-Waste) and help keep our landfills healthy. Bring your old TV's, computers, cell phones, power cords, cables, and basically anything else that was powered by electricity to be disposed of for you in a proper manner. All the E-Waste we collect will be weighed, and the school with the greatest amount of poundage collected will keep 50% of the money collected from the E-Waste where we at Eagle Rock Elementary will get reinvest it into working technology for our students.

Relay is a community-driven and family-friendly event filled with entertainment for all. It is free... but come prepared to support some fundraising activities like games and food sales. Participate in the moving survivors ceremony that starts our event (10am), cheering on survivors as they take the first lap. Then remember all of our loved ones at the Luminaria ceremony (9pm) that will certainly touch you as we take a silent candle lit lap, and then hang in there with us at 10am the following morning, along with 100.3 The Sound, to celebrate that morning has come and lives have been saved!
Survivors... it's all about you! Inspire us by taking part in the morning ceremonies and enjoy some treats especially for you! Register now so we can plan for your special day! We know we can count on ERE families!
If you would like your loved one commemmorated during our luminaria ceremony's slide show, please send jpg photo to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please clearly mark each picture with your loved one's name and whether they are a survivor or have passed away.

Our very own teachers are presenting hands-on, engaging, informative workshops all about the Common Core Math Practices. Come learn about some of the new ways that math is being taught and mathematical thinking is being demonstrated.
Attend our workshop and you will receive one Homework Pass for your child! Keep in mind, each teacher will give their own value to the pass. Some will make it a homework pass for math, some for any subject, and some might even exchange it for a Green Ticket! Attend our workshop and you will also automatically be entered into a raffle drawing for a fun prize the same night of the event!
We hope to see some really great attendance by some mathematically curious parents!
