PTA Mission
The Eagle Rock Elementary School PTA seeks to promote the interests and well-being of our kids and parents at home, at school and in the community while adhering to the mission of the California State PTA. We seek to accomplish this through representation of our membership and the development and encouragement of their skills in advocacy, leadership and communication.
The Eagle Rock Elementary School PTA is represented by the Highlands Council of PTAs which currently represents twenty PTA organizations in the city of Los Angeles, as authorized by the Los Angeles Tenth District of the California State PTA; and is affiliated with the National PTA.
The Purpose of the PTA is:
To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
To raise the standards of home life.
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
