November 8 is Election Day in California and across the nation. Advocacy is what makes PTA unique, and we encourage everyone to take the opportunity to register and vote in the election. But please remember:
PTA never comments on, endorses or supports individual candidates for office. PTA is a non-partisan association with a long track record of speaking up for all children and connecting families, schools and communities.
However, while PTA does not endorse individuals, the association does consider and take positions on statewide initiatives that impact the education, health and well-being of California’s children and families. Today is the final day of our fall membership drive for the Eagle Rock Elementary PTA.  We're still short of meeting the goal of enrolling 400 families as members.  If you haven't already joined or renewed your membership, it only takes a couple of clicks and is only $10 per person. Mark  your calendar for this coming Wednesday, September 21st for the first ERE PTA General Meeting. The meeting will start at 6:30 PM in the MPR (school cafeteria). Everyone is welcome!  Come and learn about the PTA, what we have planned for this year and how you can get involved.  Child care will be provided.  We look forward to seeing you there!

The Eagle Rock Elementary PTA is proud to assist in bringing so many wonderful enrichment programs and events to the school.  We are only able to do this through our membership, volunteers and donors.

This weekend we reached out to you, our parent community, through two letters that came home with your child in your parent folder.  The first is for our annual PTA Membership drive.  If you haven't already joined or renewed your membership, now is the time!  The dues are only $10/per person and even if you're not able to attend all meetings your membership makes a difference for the school.  Please look at our Home page to purchase your membership or send in the envelope provided.  You can click on Your PTA/Resources to learn more about what the PTA does for ERE.

The second is a direct appeal letter for volunteer and monetary donations.  Over the summer our greening project began in the play yard and although we received an amazingly generous grant to help fund so many of the updates, the PTA had to step in to help purchase some additional trees and boulders that weren't covered with these funds.  We're now asking for you to consider a monetary donation at the level you are able to afford to help cover some of these costs as well as provide for continued maintenece and other programs at the school. We are also in need of volunteers to commit their time to the school throughout the year.  Please look at our Support page for more details.

Please know that no donation of time or resources is too small or too large, we're doing more with less and we can't do it without you!
