Kindergarten tours for In-Boundary Parents for Eagle Rock Elementary

The tours will all start at 8:30am in the front of the school and the dates are as follows:

1) Monday, February 23rd (full)
2) Thursday, February 26th
3) Monday, March 9th
4) Monday, March 23rd

All tours are by RSVP only.  Please RSVP with your preferred dates and the # in your party to [email protected].  You will be emailed a confirmation when your spots are confirmed.  Please note that these are tours for in-boundary families of the home school. 

Grand Reopening of #FrankLloydWright ’s #Architectural Icon Fri, 2/13 at 4:00p #BarnsdallPark

Friday, February 13, 2015 will see the official reopening of Frank Lloyd Wright’s famed Hollyhock House, an iconic architectural masterpiece in the heart of the vibrant, artistic, cultural, and recreational Barnsdall Park. To mark the occasion, Mayor Eric Garcetti and Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell will lead an Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the project’s collaborators at 4:00 p.m. at the Hollyhock House on February 13, 2015.

Say Happy Valentine’s Day with $2 Flowergram on sale on yard Wed/Thur before school & @ AM recess

The PTA is selling Flowergrams on the school yard Wednesday and Thursday before school and during morning recess. Each Flowergram is $2 and will be delivered to the classrooms on Friday morning. 

It's a great way to say Happy Valentine's Day to your child, a friend, or a teacher. All proceeds benefit the sixth grade culmination expenses.

Thanks for supporting our students & making our inaugural #ApexFunRun event a great success

Thank you all for supporting our students as they participated in the PTA’s Apex Fun Run Fundraiser.  We’ll be getting back to you with more information; however, as a school we raised over $1,900 a lap run, exceeding our goal by 45%!  Thank you to all the parent and teacher volunteers and cheerleaders.  The run was a lot of fun.  There was great energy and our kids were all fantastic.

10th Annual event Sat (1/31) 25 local #museums offer free admission! #Arts #socalmuseums

Many of the biggest museums around Southern California will offer free general admission to the public for one day only on Saturday, Jan. 31, as part of the 10th annual "Museums Free-For-All" program.

The Jan. 31 offer is good for general museum admission only and does not apply to specially ticketed exhibitions, according to SoCal Museums, a joint marketing initiative among various local museums that is organizing the event. Regular parking rates apply.

The Museum of Tolerance and the Zimmer Children's Museum are both closed on Saturdays, and so they will be offering free general admission on Feb. 1.

Our #ApexFunRun Jog-A-Thon is this Thursday (1/29) | Check your class time slot & Best of Luck!

"Hello Parents,

The Apex Fun Run is just a few days away and we are so excited!  Our school is doing great so far and we at 60% of our goal of $1,300 a lap, yes we already have $800 per lap!  We have until Friday to get pledges in and Apex has let us know that the Apex Fun Run website has been upgraded to make it much faster, so please make sure to log on those pledges tonight.  

Here's how you can help:

-Help your children ask family, friends or co-workers for a pledge for the Apex Fun Run at our school.
-Come to the race this week on Thursday, Jan. 29th at 8:45 and cheer on your kiddos.
-Ask them about the Apex Extreme Lesson of the day.

Our #PTA #JogaThon kicks off Tuesday (1/20) Look for packet to come home Tuesday with more info!

This will be a 2 week fundraiser where the students can raise pledges for the laps they jog. The proceeds earned will go to our school for Field Trips and the Arts. 

Apex Fun Run classroom visits begin this week, with the actual run happening on Thursday, January 29th

Looking for a place to ring in the new year? Consider counting down to 2015 with your best friends, sweeties, cool cousins, and friendly neighbors at Grand Park in downtown Los Angeles near City Hall. 

This FREE New Year’s Eve celebration will live music, food, photo booths, huge projections and will be an alcohol-free, family-friendly event. There will be no beer garden or point of purchase / no outside alcohol permitted in event space.
