As part of the District-wide master planning process, the Facilities Services Division (FSD) has conducted a study of each of the District's properties by high school complex. This was done to capture current conditions on each campus and to identify issues that need to be addressed through construction and modernization projects, and then to create a conceptual master and/or conceptual modernization plan for each campus. At this charrette, or public meeting/workshop devoted to a concerted effort to solve a problem or plan the design of something, facilities planners and outside architects will present their work so that decisions can be made to finalize the conceptual plans. Farmers celebrate the end of the harvesting season on this date and Chinese family members and friends gather to gaze at the bright harvest moon and eat moon cakes.
As homage to this time of year, Los Angeles Chinatown will host the 74th Annual Harvest Moon Festival on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Very excited to see such a great turnout for our 1st PTA Meeting of the year. We wish to thank you all for your attendance and in sharing your voice as we plan for the 2012-2013 school year. We'll be meeting again in October to finalize our proposed $10,000 lump sum expense(s) after our teachers get another chance to share a conversation regarding what they would like for the year.
